This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit goldenhourpdx.com (the “Site”)

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

What personal information do we collect from the people who visit our website?

When ordering or registering on the Site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, date of birth, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help you with your experience. 

When do we collect information?

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.” 

We also collect information from you when you register for appointments and subscribe to our newsletter. 

Booking an Appointment

For the booking of services, we collect information through a third party service called MINDBODY, Inc. 

As a new client, you are required to create a client profile with MINDBODY During the process of creating a profile with MINDBODY, they will collect your name, date or birth, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card number, emergency contact information, and relevant health information. You will also be required to sign a consent form and liability waiver when you create a client profile.

How do we use your Personal Information collected from MINDBODY? 

For medical purposes and understanding how to best serve you, our practitioners need to know relevant health information about you. Each time you visit Golden Hour, our practitioners make notes and chart your progress through your client profile. For example, if you visit regularly to treat neck and shoulder pain, your practitioner will reference notes from previous visits on your client profile to help inform the protocols they will use in your treatment. This information is confidential.

For administrative purposes, we use your personal contact information collected through MINDBODY to book appointments for you and contact you for appointment reminders, rescheduling, or cancellations. This information is confidential.

When you register for an appointment through MINDBODY, you will register with a credit card number. This credit card is kept on file and is only charged when:

  • You pay for an appointment
  • You pay for products from our shop
  • You sign up for a membership (memberships are billed automatically each month for a minimum of 4 months)
  • Cancel an appointment with less than 24 hour notice (please see our cancellation policy)

MINDBODY may send occasional, automated emails. We do not use your personal contact information collected through MINDBODY for our newsletter subscription.

Emails and Newsletters

Subscription to our newsletter is optional. We use Mailchimp to manage email marketing subscriber lists and to send emails to our subscribers. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we may use the Personal Information you provide to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.

We collect your email address in order to:

  • Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions
  • Book appointments and to send information and updates pertaining to appointments.
  • Send you additional information related to your product and/or service
  • Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.

How do we protect your information?

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to the Site as safe as possible. 

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers. 

Outside of the third parties listed above, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.

Do we use 'cookies'?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

We have not enabled Google AdSense on our site but we may do so in the future.

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?

We do not support Do Not Track signals (DNT). DNT is a setting you can set on your web browser to let websites know you do not want to be tracked.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason. We reserve the right to make any modifications to the website, including terminating, changing, suspending or discontinuing any aspect of the website at any time, without notice. We may impose additional rules or limits on the use of our website. You agree to review the Terms regularly and your continued access or use of our website will mean that you agree to any changes. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of our website or for any service, content, feature or product offered through our website.
